The Lamar School District has the following openings for the 2025-2026 School Year

  • Technology Assistant:

  • Certified teaching position K-8 for the 2025-2026 school year.  

    Applicants will be placed in a pool for interview consideration.  The District will select and interview applicants as needed based on performance, effectiveness, and qualifications to fill the vacancy of a K-8 position.  Placement of certified hires shall be determined at district discretion, need, and certification.

  • Career Coach-Lamar High School

    The Arkansas Career Coach serving the Lamar School District will be employed by Guy Fenter Educational Cooperative and Supervised by Lamar School District and a designee from the higher education host, Arkansas Tech University Ozark Campus.  The career coach will be housed at Lamar School District and will provide coordination and instruction, managing components of student success and career exploration and planning.   A grant funded project in partnership with Arkansas Tech University Ozark Campus, ADE/CTE, Guy Fenter Educational Cooperative, and Lamar School District, the Career Coach will participate in training and career coaching activities as guided and supported by ATU Ozark Campus designated personnel and Lamar School District designated personnel.  The Career Coach will be instrumental in the development of the communication and resource pipeline connecting Lamar School District’s students to post-secondary education, training, and/or career plans/pathways.   The Career Coach will be required to complete ADE/CTE Career Coach Facilitation Training and must be committed to the success of the key performance measures of the Arkansas Career Coaching Program.

  • 3 open paraprofessional positions at Lamar Elementary:

    Seeking dedicated Elementary Paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction, deliver math and literacy interventions, and assist teachers with daily activities.

     

    Responsibilities may include: working directly with teachers in a classroom setting, supporting students individually or in small groups, providing special education support, and assisting students with special needs. Flexibility for additional instructional duties as assigned is required.
